This is a SIG SAUER TP556 P556 SWAT PISTOL READY TO BE CONVERTED INTO A SHORT BARREL RIFLE (SBR) with a 10.5" barrel, chambered in 5.56mm NATO (.223 Remington). It is a semi-automatic pistol that can be easily converted into an SBR with the appropriate tax stamp and modifications. Essentially, this is a short barreled copy of SWISS ARMY SIG 550/551 RIFLE, which is a highly regarded firearm known for its reliability and accuracy. The TP556 is designed to be compact and lightweight, making it an excellent choice for personal defense or tactical applications. This item is registered as a pistol, and it is not classified as an SBR until it is modified with a stock or brace. All that is required, TECHNICALLY, is to put a buttstock on it (in less than a minute), but that would make it an SBR LEGALLY and you would need to register it as an SBR. There has been change in the law that allows you to put a brace on it, also, starting January 2026 you would not need to pay a $200 tax stamp to convert it into an SBR.
